Bruce Langer, CFA

Bruce has been an active member in the financial services industry since 1993, including extensive experience in advising institutional investors and complex families in a consultative manner. He started his career as an auditor with an international public accounting firm and moved into investment advisory services with top tier Minneapolis-based firms Jeffrey Slocum Associates, Bel Air Investment Advisors, Marquette Asset Management and Tealwood Asset Management. As an Evans Scholarship recipient, Bruce earned his B.S.B. in Accounting at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota.

Bruce is the father of three young men and is a committed volunteer having served as a Board Member for the Literacy Matters Foundation and previously as Past-Chair of the Positive Coaching Alliance Minnesota chapter. Additionally, Bruce is a Director and Past-President of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association for the Western Golf Association / Evans Scholarship Foundation.


Daniel aronson, cfa

Dan is a founding member of EPIQ Partners and has spent his professional career advising clients on investment strategy, selection and implementation. He joined the Boston office of investment banking firm, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1993 and has held the role of portfolio manager for TCF Financial Corporation. Prior to the founding of EPIQ, Dan served as a principal and investment officer at Tealwood Asset Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the CFA Society of Minnesota.

Dan is a graduate of Skidmore College with a BA in Music. He and his wife have three children and enjoys golf, skiing and the arts. In addition to volunteering as a coach in youth sports, Dan has served on the Board of the Lowry Hill Neighborhood Association and as a Trustee for the Breck School in Golden Valley, MN.


ben frey, ctp

Ben joined EPIQ Partners in 2016 as Director of Investment Research and Portfolio Administration. He previously worked at Whitebox Advisors, a hedge fund company in Minneapolis, where he managed cash and positions to improve liquidity and investment returns while reducing expenses related to prime brokerage fees, securities lending and the use of leverage. Prior to Whitebox Advisors, Ben worked in New York City for the multi-family office of BBR Partners where he generated client reporting, serviced client accounts and processed corporate actions.

Ben is a graduate from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a B.A. in Anthropology. He now lives in St. Paul with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys frequenting the cities’ wonderful restaurants, cooking at home with his wife, reading fiction, listening to music, playing board games, cycling, and spending time with his children.


Noah Haverdink, CFP®

Noah joined EPIQ Partners in 2021 working previously as a Financial Planning Consultant at Northwestern Mutual. As Director for strategy, planning, and analysis, we are excited to leverage his experience in financial planning and client relationships. Noah’s desire to pair finance with philanthropy aligns wonderfully with EPIQ’s mission to invest wisely and improve lives.

Noah is a graduate from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance. Noah has a passion for humanity, volunteering often with a Richfield after-school program providing meals, tutoring, and games for high schoolers. In his free time Noah enjoys supporting Minnesota sports teams, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with family and friends.


julie ellison

Julie joined EPIQ Partners in 2020 to spearhead the daily operations, communications, special projects and events on behalf of the team. Previously she worked in various sales roles for Target Corporation, Delta Airlines and Abbott Nutrition. Her collaborative approach compliments the EPIQ spirit with her ability to develop meaningful relationships, her desire to remain focused and energized, and above all, staying connected through purposeful work.

A St. Paul, MN native, Julie graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a BA in Communications and Spanish. She now resides in SW Minneapolis with her husband and 9 year old daughter. In addition to being a volunteer advocate for the Animal Humane Society, she enjoys the pursuit of physical activity, ethnic food, live music and international travel.
